Ida Robles-Pedutem (Office Manager)
  Ida Pedutem is our office manager. With a back ground in computer engineering she has previous martial arts experience in Tai Chi and has been training with Red Tiger since 2008. She moved to New Westminster in 2006 from Bacolod City in the Philippines and leads an active lifestyle with her three children. Outside of Red Tiger Martial Arts you are most likely to find Ida spending time with her family, or traveling.
   

Our Instructors

Clayton Rutherford (1st Degree Black Belt – Head Instructor)
clayton  Mr. Rutherford is a passionate martial artist with over seven years of experience in various disciplines. He joined Red Tiger Martial Arts in the summer of 2005 and wants nothing more than to learn all he can and share it with others. In 2007 he left his career as a civil technologist in order to teach full time, a career move that now has him doing what he loves.

Growing up in Prince George, B.C., he enjoyed many hobbies including five years of full contact football and two years studying kung fu. Mr. Rutherford is happy to be a part of Red Tiger and is looking forward to long and happy future teaching martial arts.
   
Michael Eirikson (2nd Degree Black Belt – Instructor, New Westminster)
michael  Mr. Erikson has been with Red Tiger Martial Arts since 1999. He has obtained the rank of 2nd degree black belt and is a certified instructor through the Red Tiger program. He has been teaching at the New Westminster club since 2005 and is as passionate an instructor as he is a student of the martial arts. Mr Erikson is also studying mathematics at Simon Fraser University.
   
Jonathan Anderson (1st Degree Black Belt – Instructor)
  Mr. Anderson started training with Red Tiger in 1999 and earned his 1st Degree Black Belt in 2004. His enthusiasm for martial arts and teaching was an obvious fit for Red Tiger and he is back for his 2nd tour of duty in which he is now teaching in all 3 of our locations.  He is also currently working with and mentoring the youth of New Westminster through the Olivet Youth Program.
   
Sheila Wynne (1st Degree Black Belt – Instructor)
  Sheila Wynne is a graduate of McMaster University with a passion for learning, change, and people. A black belt in Go Ju Ryu karate, she has over 15 years of experience in various martial arts. Sheila is also a professional personal trainer specializing in body transformation and post-rehab conditioning who is dedicated to learning as much as she can in all circumstances.

Previously, Sheila worked as a writer for Ontario Nature and in crisis intervention with at-risk youth in Ontario. New to British Columbia, she is thrilled to be doing more of what she loves with the team at Red Tiger and is looking forward to learning and growing with the school.
   
Carl Eirikson (1st Degree Black Belt – Assistant Instructor)
carl  Mr. Eirikson has been a student since 2001 and has just become our newest Black Belt completing his testing in 2010.  Carl has shown the dedication it takes to become a black belt and has brought a youthful exuberance to our team.  Outside of Red Tiger Carl enjoys an active lifestyle including mountain biking and downhill skiing.
   
Wayne Cosh (2nd Degree Black Belt – Instructor)
wane  Mr. Cosh has been with Red Tiger Martial Arts since 1997. He has obtained the rank of 2nd degree black belt as of December, 2002 and has accumulated a number of accomplishments and awards in the process. His list of accomplishments includes activity in local tournaments, leadership awards, sparring awards and recognition for good citizenship. With a personal interest in automotive restoration and renovation of heritage homes Mr. Cosh is a well-rounded, active community member.

Lilian DeCapite (Yoga Instructor)
lillian  Lili’s foremost objective is to help all students become aware of their physical and emotional strength from within and apply those strengths and skills into their daily lives.  She has recently graduated from a Teacher Training course based on Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga principals.  Lili is dedicated to teaching with compassion, awareness and integrity so all involved in the class can gain satisfaction from each practice.
